Community

Bringing people together for regular evenings is an absolute joy. Music is about community not competition whether we’re an up and coming artist, established performer, hobbyist or just someone who wants to find live music locally: gathering to enjoy the arts and music can present a true ‘why’.

I run open mic and jam sessions around North London (as well as attending many) and have been known to frequent a choir or two.

The Artery

Open mics are a place where artists and songwriters can incubate their identity and practice their craft. The Artery (hosted at Map Studio Cafe in Kentish Town) was this place for me. Committing to go every week meant that I developed a full set and made a whole group of new friends and musical collaborators. Here’s a video from one of the jams.

BLues Kitchen gospel Choir (2014-2016)

For two years, I was a soloist for the BK Gospel Choir performing every Sunday. This was a school for me vocally… and you can’t beat group singing! Here are some lo-fi audio recordings from a few shows.
